Circle K walks for MS!

17 Apr

This semester I reactivated Circle K International on Marymount’s campus. Since then we have seen exponential growth in club membership and participated in activities and events on and off campus.

Today we participated in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Washington, DC.
We all met in Gerard Lobby and carpooled to the start site at the Canadian Embassy in DC. We signed in, got our tags, and ventured off to our 4.5 mile walk. Personally I think it felt more like 10 miles.

It was a lot of fun and the best part was we raised money for a great cause in efforts to cure a disease that affects thousands every day.

The MS walk was my FIRST national walk and certainly not my last!
Next Sunday we will be walking for the March of Dimes for babies. =)

Check out pictures from the walk and stay updated about Circle K’s activity on FACEBOOK!

Some of us with our Certificates of Completion! =) We also had complimentary Subway sandwiches after the walk! Yum.
